Bush Backs Brother Jeb for White House

I just have one thing to say about this--I DON'T want another Bush in the White House! From Yahoo News:

ORLANDO, Fla. - President Bush suggested Wednesday that he'd like to see his family's White House legacy continue, perhaps with his younger brother Jeb as the chief executive.

The president said Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is well-suited for another office and would make "a great president."

"I would like to see Jeb run at some point in time, but I have no idea if that's his intention or not," Bush said in an interview with Florida reporters, according to an account on the St. Petersburg Times Web site.

The president said he had "pushed him fairly hard about what he intends to do," but Jeb has not said.

"I have no idea what he's going to do. I've asked him that question myself. I truly don't think he knows," Bush said.

Jeb Bush, 53, will end his second term as governor in January. His brother George ends his second presidential term in January 2009. Neither can seek re-election because of term limits.

Jeb Bush has repeatedly said he is not going to run in 2008.

I've seen how much of a disaster our current President Bush has made of this country--Katrina, the jobless economic recovery, the class warfare being waged between the rich elites and the rest of America, the $8 trillion debt, the disastrous Iraq war, the illegal domestic spying, the extreme anti-American views exploding throughout the entire world, the corporate cronyism permeated throughout the Bush White House, and the complete destruction of both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for a new fascist government controlled by the Bush White House. This country will not survive another Bush presidency.

And yet, I can certainly see where the current President Bush and the PNAC neocons are heading with this story. The PNAC neocons need to maintain their control of the White House in 2008, to continue their process of converting the presidency into a dictatorship--also known as a "unitary executive." They need a neoconservative in the White House for the 2008 and perhaps even 2012 to continue their program of making the United States into both an imperial power, and to destroy the last of the New Deal / Great Society programs that benefit ordinary Americans, allowing corporations and rich elites to continue to maintain complete control of all levers of power in government, business, and society. Jeb Bush is one of the founders of the Project for a New American Century. He is also one of the front runners for the Republican presidential primary in 2008. It is no wonder that President Bush is pressuring his younger brother Jeb to run for the presidency in 2008.
