For today's somewhat late Monday Schoolhouse Rocks, I thought it would be appropriate to show The Greatest Show on Earth in honor of Al Gore's winning the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming. This is an especially interesting Schoolhouse Rock video, since it was rarely shown on ABC. According to Wikipedia, ABC stopped showing The Greatest Show on Earth after Ringling Bros. Barnum & Baily Circus filed a lawsuit against ABC due to trademark infringement since Ringling Bros. had trademarked the phrase, "the Greatest Show on Earth. On the 30th anniversary DVD set, ABC provided both the edited version of the cartoon, which removed the offending phrase, and the unedited version. So here is the Greatest Show on Earth.
