I've been watching some of the economic stories coming out of the mainstream media here, over the past three days. We've got Wall Street looking out for signs of recession, while the Nation’s jobless rate hits 5 percent. President Bush says financial markets ‘strong, solid,’ but the Dow, S&P close up, Nasdaq ends day down. In other words, there is a lot of economic uncertainty to start off on this new year.
And with all this economic uncertainty, I though it would be fun to bring out that Schoolhouse Rock classic--Walkin' on Wall Street. Maybe I'm just getting a little too cynical to compare the economic problems this country is facing with this Wall Street rah-rah "educational" cartoon.
