Wickedly nasty conservative attack ad against McCain

I found this latest YouTube ad on both The Carpetbagger Report and The Washington Monthly. It is just nasty. At first, you think the ad is about Hillary Clinton's "liberal" views and policies. But then the camera pans back away from Hillary's picture, and you see John McCain emerging from behind. The ad is coming from a conservative organization called The Citizens United Political Victory Fund, and will be shown nationally on the Fox News Channel, starting January 31st. From YouTube:

What a wicked, nasty campaign we have here. I wonder who The Citizens United Political Victory Fund supports for the GOP nomination--Mitt Romney?

Conservatives seem to loathe McCain. Could it be that he is as close to a bi-partisan politician that you can get in these fractured days? Uber-Conservs only want the tunnelled vision policrat that keeps his/her perpetual blinders on.

Hello Jude: Thank you for your comment here. I've been watching, with interest, on how the GOP elites have become so loathing of John McCain's campaign here. It is incredible. You may be on to something here about McCain's "maverick" status of crossing over party lines and working with Democratic senators on such legislation. The elites and neocons hate the idea of any real compromise with the Democrats on legislation--compromise with the neoconservatives means shoving their legislation and ideology down our throats. The politics of Washington have now been winner-take-all, take-no-prisoners style. The neocons and the GOP elites do not want to go back to any sense of bipartisanship that they may see with a senator like John McCain.
